About Screwloose Charters

My grandpa James Barker and me James Barker III where it all started

Our Mission

At Screwloose Fishing Charters, our mission is to provide unforgettable fishing experiences in Pasco, Florida. We aim to educate and inspire our guests about the joys of fishing while ensuring safety and fun on the water. 

The name Screwloose comes from my grandpa's favorite boat. He was one of the biggest reasons I got into fishing when I was a kid. I have been fishing all my life and enjoy teaching others. 

Meet the Captain

I have been fishing my whole life and enjoy taking others out, teaching, and getting them on the fish. I started saltwater fishing in the Chesapeake Bay with my family and moved to Florida, where I've been Saltwater fishing ever since. I have a lot of knowledge to share.

About Screwloose Fishing Charters Boat

Our Boat

At Screwloose Fishing Charters, we have an 306 bimini grady white 31ft, powered with twin 300 suzukis and all new electronics to make a safe and enjoyable day on the water. It has a toliet that can be used in the center console.

Offshore Fishing trips are for 6 people max with a deposit of 20% and the rest of it due before the trip

Offshore 12 hours

Fishing excursion 60 to 100 miles offshore targeting amberjack, red snapper, red grouper, other grouper and snapper species.

Offshore 10 hour

Fishing excursion 60 miles offshore targeting amberjack, red snapper, red grouper, other grouper and snapper species.

Offshore 8 hour

Fishing excursion targeting grouper and different snapper.

Offshore/nearshore 6 hour trip

Fishing excursion for hogfish, snapper, grunt, and other inshore species within 20 miles.
